Menon Alkop awarded Best Vendor Award by Honeywell Automation

Mumbai: Kolhapur based Menon Alkop, a division of the Rs 300 Crore Menon Bearings Limited (Menon Geoup), has been awarded the Best Vendor Award for 2008 by American aerospace, instrumentation and automotive major Honeywell Automation India Limited (HAIL).

The award was presented by Shri Gyamlani, Vice President, Global Sourcing and Shri Bhargawa, Head-Sourcing, HAIL at a Supplier Meet at Pune, on 23rd June, 2009. Shri Nitin Menon, Joint Managing Director and Shri R.D. Dixit, Vice Chairman and Managing Director received the award.

On the occasion, Shri Ram Menon, Chairman, Menon Geoup said that so far Menon Alkop was catering to all the critical components for 4-wheelers and multi-axle vehicles and is now geared-up to cater to meet requirements of Aerospace by way of Honeywell.

The award is decided on the basis of stringent international quality, price, delivery, faster developments, quick response and similar parameters.

The award, he said, is a consequence of Menon Alkop’s unwavering commitment to international quality. Menon Alkop has succeeded in building strong brand equity and customer base within a short span of time.  For more than 4 decades the brand Menon has stood for international quality of high end critical auto components.

Menon Bearings Limited is involved in the manufacture of critical auto components like bi-metal Engine bearings, Bushes & Thrust Washers for light & heavy automobile engines, two wheeler engines as well as for compressors, refrigerators, air conditioners etc. With expors growth at more than 25 % per annum, the company exports 35 % of its production capacity.

Menon Alkop, a division of Menon Bearings Limited, manufactures intricate Aluminium Engine Components of 4-wheelers and multi-axle vehicles. The company supplies critical auto components to leading OEM brands all over the world, including General Motors USA, Mack Truck, Tata Motors, Cummins, Volvo Sweden, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra, Tecumşeh, Eischer, Tafe, Emersion & others.
