FANUC India introduces it's heaviest payload robot
Thursday, 05 November 2009
Bangalore: FANUC India has introduced it's heaviest payload robot, the FANUC Robot M-2000iA. Available in two models M-2000iA/1200 and M-2000iA/900L, these two robots are positioned to provide never-before automation opportunities to Industry. These robots with payload capacity of 900 kg up to 1,350 kg have been developed by FANUC LTD, Japan in response to the increasingly heavy lift requirements of various industries such as Forging, Automobile & Packaging world-wide.

"We are extremely excited at the prospect of offering the technology packed handling robot, M-2000iA to the Indian market. With its record-breaking payload capacity of 1.35 Tons, this giant Robot is targeted to offer cost efficient robotic solutions for large sized, heavy work piece handling and other such applications as in press shops, forging, etc. Such applications can now reap the benefits of Robotic Automation like accuracy, repeatability and untended operation," said S G Kulkarni, President  & CEO, FANUC India Private Ltd.

The M-2000iA/1200 with the payload capacity of 1200Kg (and optional 1,350Kg – the highest robotic payload capacity available in the world today!) and highest-in-class reach of 3.73m is posed to revolutionize forge-tending and similar heavy lift applications. This model can transfer a heavy work piece of 1 ton singly, which required two synchronized robots in the past.

The M-2000iA/900L (long arm type) has a 900kg payload and reach of 4.7m. The 6.2m vertical stroke can be applied to lifting car bodies instead of specifically designed lifters at auto plants.

The robot wrist can be used in adverse environments, as IP-67 equivalent resistance to dust and moisture is provided as standard.

Both robots are controlled by the latest state-of-the-art R-30iA robot controller allowing the user access to a host of new robot control functions.

Coupled with its nation-wide support capability and highly reliable products, FANUC India with its comprehensive System engineering set-up is capable of providing customized solutions for all robotic automation requirements. Robotic automation solutions from FANUC India make sense both technically and economically, more than ever before.
