The company currently manufactures turbines of a capacity of 250KW and 1.5 MW. The 1.5MW turbines are gearless and are run on Leitner’s permanent magnet technology.

"We see increasing traction in the market for wind energy in India. Our offering of a gearless wind turbines running on Leitwind’s permanent magnet technology helps to provide our customers with a lower life cycle cost due to the benefits of greater efficiency, lower maintenance and ability to operate even in low wind sites," P. Ashok added.

One of the orders is from PPS Enviro Power for installing WTGs of a capacity of 15 MW (1.5 MW * 10) in Tamil Nadu. This is a turnkey order involving the supply and commissioning of wind turbines. The expected date of completion for the project is mid May, 2010. PPS Enviro is a Hyderabad based company, which manufactures solar panel and is in the business of setting
up Solar Farms.

The other order is from T.S. Wind Power developers, a private wind park developer based out of Satara, Maharashtra. The project involves the installation of 30 MW of wind turbine. LSML will be supplying turbines for this project which will be installed in phases starting March, 2010 with a completion schedule of 8 months. T.S. Wind Power is a group company of Pune based fleet owners  Navalakha Transport.
