Bosch Chassis Systems India inaugurates Technical Centre & ABS facility |

Mumbai– Bosch Chassis Systems India has inaugurated a Technical Centre at Chakan, near Pune to provide total design, development and testing framework to Indian Automobile manufacturers. These include Noise Vibration and Harshness, integration of the newest simulation models, competence in hydraulic braking systems, with friction material and close coordination with brake modulation like ABS and ESP.
The Centre will also extend its services to some overseas automobile companies who find the Centre cost effective for their low/medium volume requirements.
The Technical Centre has been set up with an investment of Rs 37 crores and currently employs around 70 qualified engineers.
The Centre was inaugurated by Mr. Gerhard Steiger, President, Chassis Systems Brakes Division, Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany. Rs 60 crore facility for ABS
On the same day Mr. Frieder Megerle, Senior Vice President, Chassis Systems Control Division, Robert Bosch GmbH, Germany also inaugurated ABS manufacturing facility of Bosch Chassis Systems India Ltd. at Chakan plant. With the establishment of the new production site, Bosch is the first to produce ABS in India. Bosch Chassis Systems India was established in 1984 and is a subsidiary of the Bosch Group in India. The company has manufacturing facilities at Jalgaon and Chakan (near Pune), and assembly plants at Manesar (near Gurgaon) and Sitarganj (in the state of Uttarakhand); and manufactures world-class Hydraulic Brake Systems for Three -wheelers, Passenger Cars, Utility Vehicles, Light Commercial Vehicles and Agricultural Tractors as well as ABS for Passenger Cars, Utility Vehicles and Light Commercial Vehicles." |
