Dr. N. Ravichandran of Lucas TVS elected "Academician" by IAQ

Chennai: Dr. N. Ravichandran, Chief Executive Officer, Lucas TVS has been elected to the rank of "ACADEMICIAN" by the International Academy of Quality (IAQ).  This was announced at the recent meeting held in Delhi.

He has been given this Global recognition for his outstanding contribution to the science, the technology, the economics and the management of the profession of quality. Dr. Ravichandran is the Second Professional from India after Mr. Janak Mehta, Chairman, Asian Network for Quality to get the Recognition.

This positions him among the International leaders dedicated to the improvement of the quality products and services for the benefit of mankind and a progressively higher standard of life for all.

Some of the luminaries in the field of quality who are academicians and guiding the International Academy of Quality are Dr. Noriaki Kano, Dr. Yoji Akao, Dr. Ronald Jahnke, Mr. Gregory H Watson and Prof. Hitoshi Kume.

The International Academy for Quality (IAQ) is an independent, self-supported, non-profit, non-governmental organisation that is administered by a collegial assembly of Academicians who have been elected by their peers from the most respected, active and experienced protagonists of quality in the world.

Dr. Ravichandran joined Lucas-TVS in 1968 and is now the Chief Executive Officer of the Company, leading SEVEN plants in India. Currently he is associated with many professional bodies and institutions like IITs & IIMs, Advisory Council member of various Engineering Colleges/Institutions, Research Council Member of the Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute, Durgapur, West Bengal.
