KEC International's Railway Business bags Rs 49 crore order |

Mumbai: KEC International Ltd. (KEC), a billion dollar global infrastructure EPC major, has won new orders to the tune of Rs 147 crore in its emerging businesses — Water & Railways.
In the Railway Business, the company secured an order for supply of railway track materials, tools and railway signaling equipment. The total value of this order is Rs 49 crore. This order is secured from the Kenya Railway Corporation. With this, the order book in this business has touched Rs 400 crore.
"We are delighted to secure these orders in our emerging businesses — Water & Railways. We see large opportunities in both these businesses. We started our Water business early this year and today we have order book of Rs 178 crore. in addition to this, we are leveraging our strong international presence in T&D business for our emerging businesses. This is the second international order in the railway business. Last year, we secured a railway order from Malaysia," said Mr. Ramesh Chandak, MD & CEO, KEC International Ltd.
In the Water Business, the company has secured 3 new orders for construction of Canals for Irrigation projects in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. The total value of these orders is Rs 98 crore. with this addition, the order book in this business has increased to Rs 178 crore. |
