Neuron Energy has announced the launch of a new manufacturing facility in Chakan, Pune, during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The facility, which represents an investment of ₹25 crore, is designed to produce 1.5 GWh of lithium-ion batteries annually. The company aims to address the growing demand for electric vehicle (EV) batteries and energy storage solutions in India.
The 5-acre facility will produce batteries for various applications, including two-wheelers, three-wheelers (L3 and L5 categories), golf carts, drones, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and telecom solutions. It includes a 6,500 sq. ft. Experience Centre to demonstrate Neuron Energy’s technologies and a 5,000 sq. ft. Research and Development Centre focused on advancing energy storage innovations.
Neuron Energy’s CEO, Pratik Kamdar, highlighted the significance of the facility in meeting increasing energy demands, emphasizing its role in contributing to the EV sector and energy storage advancements.
The announcement underscores Neuron Energy’s efforts to expand its production capacity and support the development of sustainable energy solutions. This move aligns with the broader push for electrification and cleaner energy initiatives in India.
