Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons Limited (JWL), has received an order worth ₹255 crore from Braithwaite & Co. for the supply of 9,140 wheelsets of 840 mm diameter for 25-ton axle load applications.

With this contract, the company’s total order book now stands at ₹560 crore. As part of its expansion strategy, Jupiter aims to generate ₹600 crore in revenue from its wheel business in FY26, nearly doubling its current contribution.

The company is currently expanding its manufacturing capacity with a new production facility in Odisha. Once operational, the facility will increase its output from 20,000 forged wheels and axles per year to 1,00,000 forged wheelsets annually. The expansion involves an investment of ₹2,500 crore, with axle production expected to commence by December 2026 and full-scale wheel and axle manufacturing by December 2027.

Jupiter Wagons is also engaged in the commercial electric vehicle sector through its subsidiary, Jupiter Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd, which is set to launch the JEM TEZ model on March 3, 2025, in Indore.

The company continues to invest in manufacturing capabilities to support domestic railway infrastructure and reduce dependence on imports.
