GE Vernova T&D India Limited has announced it will supply 765 kV class extra high-voltage transformers and shunt reactors for renewable energy corridor projects across India. The projects, awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL), are part of the national transmission network expansion supporting renewable integration. The order includes over thirty units of power transformers and reactors, to be delivered over the next 30 months.
The equipment will be manufactured at GE Vernova’s facility in Padappai, Tamil Nadu. The transformers and reactors will support multiple transmission system strengthening schemes and green energy corridors, including those linked to renewable energy zones in Rajasthan and Karnataka. Manufacturing will follow PGCIL specifications and quality standards.
