CG DE SUB, LLC (CG USA), a wholly owned subsidiary of India’s CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited, has signed an agreement with Flanders Electric Motors Service, LLC (FLANDERS) to offer traction motor replacement and refurbishment solutions in the United States railway market. The partnership aims to leverage local capabilities to provide faster turnaround times and competitive pricing.

The USA railway network spans approximately 140,000 miles, dominated by Class I railroads, creating substantial demand for traction motor services and refurbishments. Under the agreement, CG USA and FLANDERS plan to scale capabilities and expand into the US rail sector, combining CG USA’s manufacturing expertise with FLANDERS’ service footprint.

CG Power and Industrial Solutions Limited is an engineering conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, India, with 18 manufacturing units in India and one in Sweden, supported by a network of regional and branch offices. The company produces traction motors, propulsion systems, signalling relays, and a range of industrial electrical products. For FY25, CG reported consolidated revenue of INR 99.09 billion (USD 1,146 million). The company is part of the Murugappa Group and has also entered the semiconductor business through its OSAT facility and Axiro Semiconductor, a fabless design company.

FLANDERS, headquartered in Evansville, Indiana, has over 75 years of experience in servicing, repairing, designing, and manufacturing electric rotating machines and automation solutions for heavy industries including mining, mills, power generation, and marine sectors.
