Ultraviolette, a Bengaluru-based electric vehicle manufacturer, has secured an investment from TDK Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of Japan’s TDK Corporation. This funding is part of Ultraviolette’s latest financing round and aims to accelerate the development and production of its electric motorcycles and scooters.
Ultraviolette’s current product lineup includes mid-premium motorcycles and scooters, with flagship models such as the F77 MACH 2 and F77 SuperStreet. The company has received over 70,000 paid bookings for its upcoming models, the Tesseract scooter and Shockwave light motorcycle, representing more than USD 120 million in order value.
The company operates in 20 Indian cities and plans to expand to 100 cities by the end of fiscal year 2026. Earlier this year, Ultraviolette began sales in 10 European Union countries, including Germany, France, the UK, Ireland, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
Ultraviolette’s motorcycles deliver up to 30 kW of peak power, a top speed of 155 km/h, and a real-world range of up to 300 km (186 miles). The F99 Factory Racing Platform has reached a top speed of 258 km/h. Vehicle prices range from USD 2,000 to USD 10,000, depending on the model and variant.

Ultraviolette was founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan. The company develops electric vehicle platforms and battery technology, with investors including Lingotto (a subsidiary of EXOR N.V.), Qualcomm Ventures, Zoho Corporation, TVS Motors, and Speciale Invest.
