Climaveneta Climate Technologies, a subsidiary of Mitsubishi Electric, has announced a significant investment exceeding INR 400 crore in a new manufacturing facility in Narsapura, Kolar district, approximately 50 km from Bengaluru. This plant will serve as a production hub for various types of central air-conditioning equipment, including screw chillers, magnetic levitation technology chillers, scroll chillers, conventional centrifugal chillers, high-precision AC units, and heat pumps. The facility is expected to generate approximately 500 jobs in the region.
The company reports that it currently has orders worth over INR 500 crore and aims to double its annual order intake over the next five years. In addition to supplying the domestic market, the new facility will serve as an export hub for nearby regions, manufacturing products primarily used in data centers, commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, and industrial applications. This move aligns with Climaveneta’s strategic focus on supporting India’s growing demand for reliable data center infrastructure amid rapid digitalization, cloud adoption, and AI integration.
Anil Dev, CEO of Climaveneta Climate Technologies India, stated that the Bengaluru region’s skilled talent pool and well-established industries make it an ideal location for the facility. He highlighted the plant’s role in expanding the company’s sustainable and efficient cooling solutions.
Masafumi Ando, CEO of Mitsubishi Electric Hydronic and IT Cooling S.p.A, noted that the group’s target is to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. He emphasized that Climaveneta India’s energy-efficient and environmentally conscious cooling systems contribute to this goal, in line with emerging global demands for refrigerants with lower environmental impact.
The investment reflects Mitsubishi Electric’s ongoing commitment to expanding operations in India, leveraging the skilled labor and manufacturing infrastructure available in the Bengaluru area.
