Alfa Laval recently inaugurated a new Global Core Component factory in India. This facility is the company’s third such center globally, following similar factories in Sweden and China. The India facility aims to support large-scale energy transition projects across various industries, including power, nuclear, green hydrogen, refinery, and petrochemical sectors.
Alfa Laval, headquartered in Sweden, specializes in heat transfer, separation, and fluid handling technologies that support industrial processes across energy, marine, food, water, and pharmaceutical sectors. The company’s new India facility will act as a production and distribution hub, providing components to Alfa Laval’s global network, a move aimed at enhancing localized manufacturing and support across international markets.
According to a source, the India facility will serve as a hub for engineering, design, and local manufacturing, providing components to multiple Alfa Laval operations worldwide. This expansion aligns with the company’s strategy to increase its manufacturing footprint and support regional energy transition needs with locally produced solutions.
