Atam Valves Limited is planning on expanding its product portfolio, developing valves ranging from 12 to 72 inches for large-scale projects and transitioning from Chinese brass to higher-grade stainless steel to improve product durability. Upcoming product lines include cast iron fittings, flanges, and control valves.
The company is also expanding into new sectors and geographies, introducing new products, and planning to increase its international presence. It is targeting a significant ramp-up in exports, aiming to grow export sales from 3 percent to 25 percent and expand its dealer network from 750 to 1,000 dealers. Additionally, Atam is pursuing American Petroleum Institute (API) certification, expected within the current financial year, to support entry into high-value global markets, particularly in the oil and gas sector.
The company has entered the real estate and healthcare sectors, securing orders for plumbing valves across several major residential and commercial projects in cities including Kolkata, Mumbai, Thane, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Indore, Cochin, and Calicut. Notable projects include L&T Seawoods in Navi Mumbai, Kalpataru Eternia in Mumbai, Raymond Era in Thane, and Mahaveer Exotica in Mumbai.
“We’re also expanding into new geographies, reaching more customers, and strengthening our distribution. At the same time, we’re focusing on higher-margin projects and actively exploring acquisition opportunities that align with our strategy,” said Amit Jain, Managing Director.
The company has identified wastewater management as a key future growth area, driven by increasing environmental regulations and urbanization. Participation in domestic and international exhibitions is being prioritized to promote its portfolio and capture new market opportunities.
Atam reported revenue of INR 605 million in FY25, up 15 percent compared to the previous year. Profit after tax for the year increased to INR 62.9 million from INR 58.3 million in FY24.
“The audit is complete, and while there were some regulatory delays, we expect to receive [the API license] within this financial year. This will enable us to enter more specialized, high-value segments and could be a transformational step for the company,” said Jain.
Atam Valves is also increasing its international certifications and pursuing credentials like EIL, WRAS, and Power Grid approvals to strengthen its export potential. The company is developing digital monitoring solutions for valves and exploring entry into specialized bath fitting solutions.
