United Drilling Tools Ltd. (UDTL), a manufacturer of equipment for the oil and gas industry, has secured an order valued at INR 1,075.47 million from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Limited for the supply of large outer diameter casing pipes with connectors. The order is scheduled to be executed over approximately nine months.
Following this development, UDTL’s total order book is now estimated at INR 2,500–2,800 million.
UDTL supplies oilfield equipment to clients in India, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and parts of Africa. The company manufactures large OD casing pipes with connectors, wireline and well service equipment, gas lift equipment, and downhole tools.
UDTL operates from Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and has has multiple manufacturing units located in Noida and Gujarat, including a plant near Mundra Port established to expand its casing pipe with connector assembly segment. The company holds 32 registered trademarks, including 24 in India and 8 in other countries, and 14 design patents, with registrations in India and the UK.
UDTL’s facilities cover 100,000 square feet and include CNC machine shops, fabrication and testing shops, heat treatment, powder-coating, and detailed testing departments. The company also has an in-house design department for product improvement and innovation.
UDTL serves domestic clients such as ONGC, Oil India Ltd., Focus Energy, GeoEnpro, Jindal Drilling, and Welspun, and international clients including Halliburton, Schlumberger, Shelf Drilling, Aramco, and Kuwait Oil Company.
