JBM Electric Vehicles (JBM EV), electric bus manufacturer, has launched its all-electric city bus, ECOLIFE, at the UITP Summit 2025 in Hamburg, Germany. The company has also announced the establishment of its European headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany, as part of its expansion into the European Union. The European operations will be led by Daniel Frade, Director – Sales, Marketing & After Sales — Europe.
The ECOLIFE bus offers a range of up to 400 kilometres on a single charge and supports ultra-fast charging. It features modular battery packs, regenerative braking, and a permanent magnet synchronous motor designed to deliver high torque and power. The interiors incorporate recycled materials, including recyclable seats and fabrics made from recycled yarn.
“Our mission is to decarbonize public transport by creating new and sustainable global benchmarks. Our vision is to finance the mobility of tomorrow — and with JBM EV, we’ve found the right partner for this mission. Together, we are driving sustainable mobility in public transport. The key lies in the turnkey solution that combines the bus, charging infrastructure, and leasing. JBM’s technology and our leasing expertise ensure easy access to zero-emission bus solutions,” said Max Nastold, CEO of KazenMaier Leasing.
JBM EV’s electric buses are equipped with multiple safety features, including Advanced Driver-Assistance Systems (ADAS), emergency braking, forward vehicle collision warning, lane departure warning, pedestrian and cyclist collision warning, blind spot detection, fire detection and suppression systems, and a 360-degree camera. The ECOLIFE bus also includes Intelligent Transport Systems compliant with European Union regulations and advanced telematics for real-time vehicle monitoring.
JBM EV plans to increase its cumulative electric bus mileage to over 3 billion e-kilometres and serve more than 10 billion passengers globally within the next 3-4 years.
