Replus, a battery manufacturing company under the LNJ Bhilwara Group, has announced plans to expand its production capacity from 1GWh to 6GWh within the next year. The facility will incorporate advanced automation processes and support multiple battery chemistries to meet demand in the electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage system (ESS) markets.
According to the company, the expanded plant will integrate high-speed automation and accommodate various battery cell technologies, including high-energy-density cells, blade cells, and sodium-ion, LMFP, and LTO chemistries. The production will supply battery packs for EV passenger vehicles, buses, trucks, and grid-scale renewable energy storage solutions.
Riju Jhunjhunwala, Vice Chairman of LNJ Bhilwara Group, stated that the expansion marks a key milestone in the company’s energy-focused business strategy. Hiren Pravin Shah, Managing Director & CEO of Replus, added, “With this expansion, Replus is poised to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of energy storage globally. By integrating high-speed automation and next-generation battery technologies, we are committed to delivering industry-leading products for EVs and ESS applications.”
The company has not disclosed specific investment figures or timelines for the completion of the expansion.
