KP Group, a renewable energy company, has signed three Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Delta Electronics India to collaborate on battery energy storage systems (BESS), green hydrogen and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, and solar PV inverter technology. The agreements aim to support clean energy infrastructure development across India and select overseas markets.
Under the first MoU, KP Group and Delta Electronics will co-develop battery energy storage projects to enhance grid stability and integrate renewable energy. KP Group will manage project development, site integration, and regulatory approvals, while Delta will supply inverters, energy management systems, and provide design, commissioning, and post-installation services such as maintenance and remote diagnostics. The systems will be compatible with both standalone and hybrid (solar + storage) configurations.
The second MoU focuses on green hydrogen refueling and EV charging stations. KP Group will develop green hydrogen production plants, and Delta will supply technology including hydrogen compression and dispensing systems, along with AC and DC fast EV chargers and energy management platforms. The two companies plan to jointly design and implement hydrogen refueling stations and EV charging hubs. Delta will also train KP Group’s teams for safe and efficient operation of these facilities.
The third agreement includes the supply of approximately 1 GW of next-generation solar PV inverters over the next 12 months for KP Group’s solar projects in India and abroad. The inverters will feature grid support functions, remote diagnostics, and compatibility with hybrid systems. Delta will provide after-sales services, including maintenance and technical training, and will host joint technology workshops to keep project execution aligned with its product roadmap.
“This collaboration is a strong testament to the trust and shared values between Delta and KP Group. With this 1 GW inverter partnership and extended collaboration on BESS and green hydrogen, we are committed to delivering best-in-class technology and lifecycle support,” said Niranjan Nayak, Managing Director of Delta Electronics India.
“Our partnership is not just about products—it’s about co-creating solutions that empower India’s energy independence. Whether it is solar, storage, or hydrogen, we believe our combined strengths can build a cleaner, more sustainable tomorrow,” stated Faruk Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group.
KP Group, based in Surat, Gujarat, was founded in 1994 and operates through three listed entities: KPI Green Energy, KP Energy, and KP Green Engineering. The group has developed over 5.75 GW of renewable assets and is involved in project development, EPC services, manufacturing, and asset management. It is also investing in green hydrogen and offshore wind projects and expanding its footprint in domestic and international markets.
