Metso, a Finland-based industrial company, has received an order to supply filtration equipment for Jindal Steel’s iron ore pellet plant in Angul, Odisha. The order, booked in Metso’s Minerals segment for the second quarter of 2025, includes six fully automatic Larox FFP 3512 filters.

The filters, part of the Metso Plus offering, will be installed at Jindal Steel’s Angul facility. Similar filtration technology is already operational at the company’s pellet plant in Barbil.

According to Metso, the filters feature membrane technology and hole-less filter cloths designed to improve moisture reduction and operational availability.

Metso’s filtration portfolio includes 16 filter types and related services used in mining and industrial applications. Globally, the company has over 5,000 filter installations, including more than 300 in India.

Jindal Steel has a steel production capacity of 9.6 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) and a captive power generation capacity of 1,634 megawatts (MW).
