Kaynes Semicon, in collaboration with Infineon Technologies, has announced the launch of a Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) microphone manufactured at Kaynes’ new facility in Gujarat. The device is designed for use in wireless earbuds and wearable products. Infineon provides the bare die technology, while Kaynes is responsible for packaging and integration.
Alongside the microphone, the companies are also working together on packaging Infineon’s power solution bare die wafers in India. These wafers are being processed into discrete and modular semiconductor products, intended for applications in renewable energy systems such as solar and wind, as well as in industrial automation and consumer electronics.
The announcement was made during SEMICON India 2025, alongside other developments in semiconductor collaborations.
