Fujifilm Corporation has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Tata Electronics Private Limited to collaborate on the development of a semiconductor materials ecosystem in India. This partnership aims to support Tata Electronics’ efforts in constructing India’s first semiconductor front-end and large-scale semiconductor back-end manufacturing plants.

The collaboration will see Fujifilm providing semiconductor materials tailored to Tata Electronics’ manufacturing needs. This includes materials for both front-end and back-end processes, which will aid in the launch of the company’s semiconductor production operations. Tata Electronics is building these plants in Dholera, Gujarat, and Jagiroad, Assam. In addition, Fujifilm plans to explore the possibility of establishing a semiconductor materials manufacturing facility in India to meet the growing demand in the country’s semiconductor market.

India currently imports most of its semiconductor materials, a situation that the government is working to address as part of its broader economic and strategic initiatives to boost domestic production. As part of its ongoing commitment, Fujifilm will consider sourcing raw materials locally and contributing to the expansion of the semiconductor sector in India.

Fujifilm supplies a range of semiconductor materials, including photoresists, photolithography-related materials, CMP slurries, and high-purity process chemicals. These products support various stages of semiconductor manufacturing, from front-end processes to back-end operations.

Fujifilm Corporation is a global supplier of materials used in semiconductor manufacturing. The company offers a broad portfolio of products that support manufacturing processes across a range of industries, including semiconductors. With research and development facilities worldwide, Fujifilm continues to expand its operations to meet the evolving needs of the semiconductor industry.
