Tokyo Electron (TEL) has entered into a partnership with Tata Electronics to supply equipment and provide training at India’s first semiconductor fabrication facility, located in Dholera, Gujarat. The facility is being developed in collaboration with Taiwan’s Powerchip Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (PSMC) and will focus on both front-end fabrication and back-end packaging technologies.

The partnership is aimed at supporting Tata Electronics in achieving production targets, with semiconductor manufacturing expected to begin by 2026. The chips produced at the facility will serve various industries, including automotive, mobile devices, and artificial intelligence.

This collaboration is also expected to enhance integrated solutions for customers around the world.
