Lloyds Engineering Works Limited announced that it has received an order from the Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) – IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur, West Bengal, for the design and execution of a 4.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) pellet plant complex. The company disclosed the development in a stock exchange filing dated 3 November 2025.

According to the filing, Lloyds Engineering Works has been selected as a consortium partner alongside Primetals Technologies India Private Limited and Primetals Technologies Austria GmbH. The total consortium contract value is approximately INR 6.13 billion for the Indian portion and EUR 18 million for the European portion. The project is scheduled for completion within 39 months from the effective date of the contract.

Under the consortium agreement, Lloyds Engineering Works will handle detailed design and engineering responsibilities and supply critical process equipment and systems for the project. The order was awarded by SAIL’s IISCO Steel Plant, a domestic entity under the Ministry of Steel.

Lloyds Engineering Works stated that the contract reinforces its position as a trusted engineering partner in India’s industrial and infrastructure sectors. The company noted that it has established more than ten collaborations with domestic and international partners over the past two years, enhancing its technical capabilities and access to high-value industrial projects.
