Prostarm Info Systems Limited plans to establish a new manufacturing unit at Bakrol in Gujarat to expand its manufacturing footprint and strengthen its production capabilities. The company said the project is subject to the receipt of necessary statutory and regulatory approvals, with commercial production targeted to begin by on or before May 2026.
The new unit will be used for the assembly of Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems. The proposed facility will focus on producing UPS systems with capacities ranging from 1 kilovolt-ampere (KVA) to 600 KVA, addressing a wide spectrum of power backup requirements.
The estimated capital expenditure for setting up the Bakrol facility is INR 60 million. The investment will cover plant and machinery, civil construction, infrastructure, and contingencies. The company plans to fund the project through a combination of internal accruals and proceeds from its initial public offering.
The company expects the project to enhance its ability to meet customer demand by adding in-house assembly capacity for UPS systems once operations commence.
The rationale for the investment, as stated in the filing, is to create and further strengthen the company’s manufacturing capacity. The move aligns with Prostarm’s strategy to expand its operational capabilities and support future business growth through additional production infrastructure.
