Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) has received an order worth approximately INR 1,856.5 million from the Ministry of Defence (Engineer-in-Chief) for the supply of bulldozers. The announcement was made on July 18, 2025. The equipment is intended to support defence infrastructure operations.
This contract is part of BEML’s continued engagements with the Ministry of Defence involving the supply of heavy equipment for government use.
BEML Limited is a multi-technology public sector company under the Ministry of Defence, classified as a Schedule ‘A’ enterprise. It operates in three key sectors: defence and aerospace, mining and construction, and rail and metro. As of March 31, 2025, the Government of India held a 54.03 percent equity stake in the company.
