BEML Limited has received a contract worth INR 83.51 crore from the Ministry of Defence to supply 50-ton trailers designed for the transportation of battle tanks.

The trailers, which feature a payload capacity of 50 tonnes, are engineered to be towed by BEML’s HMV 8×8 vehicles. BEML Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy said, “We are proud to have the order and believe our capacity to build indigenized products at scale. This contract is a testament to our growing role in supporting the defence sector, and we look forward to expanding our contributions even further.”

BEML operates across defence and aerospace, mining and construction, and rail and metro verticals, with manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, Kolar Gold Fields, Mysore, and Palakkad. The company has a network of sales and service outlets across India.
