GameChange BOS, a provider of electrical balance of plant (eBOP) solutions, has commenced production at its new transformer manufacturing facility in Taloja, near Mumbai, Maharashtra. The factory spans 180,000 square feet and is designed to produce up to 1,800 medium-voltage transformer units annually in its initial phase, with a production capacity of 5,400 MVA per year. The plant can scale up to 10,800 MVA annually based on future demand.

The facility manufactures padmounted and substation transformers ranging from 0.5 MVA to 25 MVA and up to 69 kV. These units are intended for the Indian market as well as for export to the United States and the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. Target end-users include the renewable energy sector, utilities, data centres, battery energy storage, and the oil and gas industry.

The plant incorporates industrial-scale vacuum ovens to improve insulation and reliability. It is designed to support scalable production and reduce lead times. The site also includes provisions for future physical expansion to accommodate projected growth.

Vikas Bansal, President (International), and Anirudha Sharma, Vice President of Sales, visited the facility to mark the start of operations.
