RRP Defense Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CYGR, a Franco-American drone technology company, to establish a joint venture for the production of advanced drone systems in India. The proposed venture will include a manufacturing facility and a research and development (R&D) centre in Navi Mumbai.

Under the terms of the MoU, RRP Defense will hold a 90 percent stake in the joint venture, while CYGR will retain the remaining 10 percent. The companies stated that the collaboration will focus on the production of drones for defence, surveillance, and strategic applications. The initiative is also expected to involve technology transfer and workforce skill development in high-tech manufacturing.

A press conference is scheduled for Tuesday, 15 July 2025, during which the companies are expected to share further details about the venture’s roadmap and planned product offerings. The establishment of the facility is contingent on regulatory approvals and final agreements.
