Vibhor Steel Tubes Limited has commenced commercial production at its newly developed manufacturing facility in Podbahal village, Sundargarh district, Odisha. The unit, which has an annual production capacity of 156,000 tonnes, began operations using generator power on June 24, 2025, and transitioned to grid electricity on July 11, 2025. With this addition, the company’s total installed production capacity has increased to 377,000 tonnes per annum.
The Odisha plant was established with an investment of INR 1,198.3 million and is designed to manufacture steel products such as crash barriers, high mast lighting poles, and monopoles. The facility is expected to cater to infrastructure and industrial demand in Eastern India.
With this expansion, Vibhor Steel Tubes now operates three manufacturing plants located in Maharashtra, Telangana, and Odisha.
Commenting on the development, Vijay Kaushik, Chairman and Executive Director of Vibhor Steel Tubes, said that the commencement of electricity supply at the Sundargarh plant represents the completion of a key milestone for the company. He noted that the company is focusing on expanding into value-added products and new regional markets.
Vibhor Steel Tubes Limited manufactures steel pipes and tubes for applications in infrastructure, engineering, and construction. The company supplies products to both domestic and international markets through its production units across India.
