MKU Limited, a manufacturer of defence and homeland security equipment, has been awarded a multi-year contract to supply more than 200,000 ballistic helmets to an Asian armed force. The agreement covers multiple helmet configurations, including variants designed for paratrooper and airborne personnel.

According to the company, its Kavro ballistic helmets—certified to NIJ Level IIIA standards—were selected following a competitive evaluation process involving defence manufacturers from Europe, Southeast Asia, and India. Deliveries are expected to take place in phases over the coming years.

“This milestone underscores India’s evolving capabilities in defence manufacturing. We remain committed to delivering protection solutions that blend advanced technology with mission-specific design,” said Neeraj Gupta, Managing Director of MKU.

The contract builds on MKU’s prior experience in supplying protective gear to military clients in the region. The company noted that its helmets are engineered for operational reliability and customized to meet diverse mission requirements.

Headquartered in Kanpur, India, MKU manufactures defence and homeland security equipment, including ballistic protection solutions and optronic systems. The company serves military and law enforcement agencies in over 100 countries.
