HHV Advanced Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (HHVAT), a Bengaluru-based thin film technology company, has invested in Hyderabad deep-tech startup EON Space Labs as part of a USD 1.2 million pre-Series A funding round, which also includes MGF Kavachh. The investment establishes HHVAT as a strategic long-term partner of EON Space Labs.

The funding will be used to expand manufacturing of AI-driven electro-optical and infrared payloads, grow the engineering team, and support new product launches. EON Space Labs plans to launch its first ultra-lightweight space telescope, MIRA, by the end of 2025.

Founded in 1965, HHVAT develops vacuum systems, thin-film technology, and precision optics for applications including space and defence missions. EON Space Labs, established in 2022 by Sanjay Kumar, Punit Badeka, and Manoj Kumar Gaddam, designs miniaturised, high-resolution imaging systems for satellites, drones, aerial systems, and fixed ground platforms.

“Our partnership with EON is built on a shared commitment to advance India’s high-precision optics manufacturing capabilities. The investment marks the beginning of a strategic collaboration to bring deep-tech imaging solutions to market,” said Prasanth Sakhamuri, Managing Director, HHV Advanced Technologies.

“With HHVAT’s unmatched knowledge in optics and thin-film technology, we can accelerate both product development and large-scale manufacturing,” said Sanjay Kumar, Co-founder of EON Space Labs.
