L&T Precision Engineering and Systems has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Delhi-based startup Green Aero Propulsion to jointly develop indigenous micro turbojet engines for high-speed unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The collaboration is aimed at strengthening domestic development of drone propulsion systems.

According to the company, the partnership will combine L&T’s precision engineering capabilities with Green Aero’s expertise in propulsion technologies. The two companies aim to co-develop engines that will be integrated into domestically produced UAVs.

The development timeline and technical specifications for the engines have not yet been disclosed. The agreement supports broader efforts to expand India’s capabilities in aerospace and defense technologies.

The company is part of India’s emerging ecosystem of private defense innovators and has previously showcased its propulsion solutions at defense and aerospace exhibitions.
