IG Drones, a developer of aerial systems, has entered into a partnership with Belgium-based VoxelSensors to integrate 3D perception systems into its unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). The collaboration focuses on enhancing drone navigation and performance in environments where GPS signals are unavailable or limited, such as dense forests, urban infrastructure areas, tunnels, and industrial spaces.
As part of the partnership, IG Drones will adopt VoxelSensors’ Single Photon Active Event Sensor (SPAES) technology, which offers low-latency and high-precision spatial sensing. The integrated systems are intended for applications including infrastructure inspection, emergency response, environmental monitoring, and smart city projects.

These capabilities are vital for civilian missions where situational complexity and safety demand real-time perception and adaptive decision-making,” said Sambit Parida, Chief Technology Officer at IG Drones.

IG Drones reported deploying over 200 drones in the financial year 2025 and noted a 330 percent increase in revenue. The company is also rolling out 50 Drone Centres of Excellence in collaboration with the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) across India.
