Raphe mPhibr, an aircraft and UAV manufacturer, has secured USD 100 million in new funding to scale its aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) design and manufacturing capabilities in India. The round was led by General Catalyst, with participation from existing investors including Amal Parikh, Think Investments, and several high‑net‑worth family offices, bringing the company’s total capital raised to USD 145 million.
The company operates an integrated aerospace manufacturing campus in Noida, featuring facilities for design, simulation, manufacturing, and testing. Its capabilities span metal processing, composite manufacturing, engine design and testing, and military‑grade electronics.
The new funding will support expansion of the company’s vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem, covering UAV subsystems and supply‑chain components.
“We are proud to join forces with Raphe mPhibr on their transformative journey to redefine engineering‑led manufacturing across a spectrum of critical applications.” stated Neeraj Arora, Managing Director at General Catalyst.
“Raphe mPhibr is uniquely positioned to develop cutting‑edge aircraft and UAVs given their robust, end‑to‑end design, engineering, and manufacturing capabilities,” added Shashin Shah, Managing Partner at Think Investments.
Raphe mPhibr’s current product lineup includes the mR10 drone swarm system, which reportedly offers around 3 hours of endurance and a range of approximately 50 km; the mR20 high‑altitude logistics platform; the MR‑20 man‑portable surveillance drone; and the X8 maritime patrol platform. Additional systems are reportedly in the final stages of validation.
The company has formalized collaborations with Dassault Systèmes, HENSOLDT, and Safran. “Raphe mPhibr’s implementation of our 3DEXPERIENCE platform shows how virtual worlds help innovators achieve speed and sovereignty by accelerating the entire product lifecycle from concept to certification,” said Olivier Sappin, CEO of CATIA at Dassault Systèmes.
“We’ve worked closely with Raphe mPhibr’s teams and seen first‑hand their ability to deliver advanced mil‑grade electronics and mechanical systems,” noted Oliver Dörre, CEO at HENSOLDT.
Founded in 2017 and headquartered in Noida, Raphe mPhibr is a technology‑driven aircraft and UAV manufacturer. It employs approximately 400–500 staff and has amassed over 1 million km in flight testing. The company has developed more than 100 proprietary technologies in materials science, electronics, design, and production.
