Sasmos, a provider of design and manufacturing solutions for defence and aerospace platforms, has delivered the first production batch of wiring harnesses for a high-power radar programme to L&T Precision Engineering & Systems. The initial delivery comprises 200 high-power radar wiring harness sets and marks the first execution milestone under a strategic multi-year contract awarded earlier.
According to a press release issued by the company, the first batch was completed within a period of less than five months for a programme involving complex technological requirements, including the integration of specialty products such as fibre optic assemblies. The company stated that the execution timeline was achieved while meeting defence-grade quality and performance requirements.
The delivery forms part of a joint effort between Sasmos and L&T Precision Engineering & Systems to support indigenous defence manufacturing through the supply of high-reliability interconnect solutions for next-generation radar platforms. The wiring harnesses are intended for applications requiring dependable performance across high-power transmission and signal-distribution functions.
The first batch of 200 harness sets has been manufactured at Sasmos’s facility in Bengaluru, Karnataka. The scope of supply includes complex high-power and signal-distribution harnesses incorporating fibre optic technologies. These systems have been produced in compliance with stringent defence specifications applicable to advanced aerospace and defence applications.
“We are delighted to reach this important delivery milestone. This first lot reflects not only our engineering and manufacturing strength but also our commitment to delivering quality at scale for India’s defence programs,” said Chandrashekar H.G., Chairman and Managing Director of Sasmos.
Sasmos indicated that subsequent batches under the programme are already in progress, with a structured ramp-up plan aligned to L&T’s production and deployment schedules. The company stated that the ongoing deliveries are expected to support the timely execution of the radar programme.
Sasmos is an advanced manufacturing company specialising in mission-critical wiring harnesses, fibre connectivity, and electronic integration for aerospace and defence applications.
