Octobotics Tech Pvt Ltd, an industrial robotics company developing AI enabled non destructive testing (NDT) systems, has secured INR 98 million in a seed funding round led by Navam Capital. The round also saw participation from Navam and BYT Capital, with the company stating that the investment will support vertical integration of its technology stack for the industrial inspection market.

The funds will be deployed to strengthen research and development and to obtain industrial certifications required for deployment in regulated environments. The company said the capital will support efforts to integrate hardware, software, and artificial intelligence capabilities within its robotic platforms.

Octobotics develops robotic systems for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) applications across the oil and gas, chemicals, maritime, and energy sectors. Its hardware platforms, including Weld Sensei and Reach Master, are designed to automate inspection processes in environments that are difficult to access through conventional manual methods.

“This capital will be directed toward R&D for vertical integration and obtaining necessary industrial certifications, including IECEx and ATEX approvals,” said Ishan Bhatnagar and Gulshan Kumar, Co-Founders of Octobotics. “By managing the full development cycle—from hardware design to edge-AI—we aim to provide reliable safety and operational efficiency for our customers in heavy industry.”

The company indicated that certification processes such as IECEx and ATEX approvals are required for equipment operating in explosive or hazardous industrial settings. It plans to align its product development roadmap with these regulatory requirements to expand deployment opportunities within heavy industry segments.

Octobotics Tech Pvt Ltd focuses on robotic inspection platforms designed for industrial asset integrity and safety applications. Its systems are used to perform automated NDT tasks in sectors where inspection accuracy and compliance are critical to operations.
