Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd. has inaugurated steel infrastructure projects worth INR 240 billion in Gadchiroli, Maharashtra. The projects include steel production facilities and associated infrastructure, with the company estimating the creation of over 20,000 jobs from the current phase.
The company inaugurated a 4 million tonnes per annum (MTPA) pellet plant at Konsari, a 5 MTPA grinding unit at Hedri, and a 10 MTPA slurry pipeline connecting the two locations. It also laid the foundation stone for a 4.5 MTPA integrated steel plant at Konsari, in addition to a 100-bed multi-speciality hospital, a CBSE-affiliated school, and a residential township at Somanpalli.
Lloyds Metals and Energy Ltd., which operates in the steel and mining sectors, is engaged in iron ore extraction and value-added steel production. The company is expanding its footprint in Maharashtra through backward-integrated operations and infrastructure investments.
