Jindal Stainless has submitted an investment proposal for the establishment of a stainless steel plant in Maharashtra. The proposal was presented during a state cabinet subcommittee meeting, chaired by Deputy Chief Ministers Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar. The planned facility, set to be developed over the next ten years, is projected to generate more than 15,000 jobs.

Following the approval of the proposal, Maharashtra’s Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis met with Jindal Stainless Chairman Ratan Jindal to discuss strategic growth plans related to the project. The state government has assured support in facilitating necessary approvals, permissions, and incentives.

Commenting on the development, Ratan Jindal said, “The new facility will expand our presence in India and the world, set new benchmarks in technology, sustainability, and product excellence, and cater to emerging industries that are critical to India’s future development.”

According to the company’s announcement, the proposed facility aims to enhance manufacturing capacity and contribute to the stainless steel sector. Further details on investment figures and production capacity have not been disclosed.
