MHT Mold & Hotrunner Technology AG has partnered with Advanced Molding Technology Pvt. Ltd. (AMT) to establish a mold and hotrunner refurbishment facility in Ludhiana, Punjab. The facility, now operational, aims to provide localized support to Indian manufacturers by reducing turnaround times and eliminating the need for overseas shipments.
The center offers a range of services including refurbishing, technical support, troubleshooting, and training. According to a joint statement from the companies, the facility will enable faster service delivery and provide access to on-site technical expertise.
India’s hotrunner system market is experiencing robust growth, driven by increasing adoption of automated, energy-efficient, and high-precision molding technologies. The sector is expected to benefit from trends such as lightweighting in automotive, sustainability initiatives, and the expansion of consumer electronics manufacturing.
The MHT-AMT partnership enables Indian manufacturers to access global technology and support without the delays and costs associated with overseas servicing. This aligns with broader industry trends favoring localization and operational efficiency.
MHT, based in Germany, specializes in hotrunner systems and precision molds for the plastics and packaging industries. AMT provides molding solutions within India, primarily focusing on the Punjab region, with a growing presence in other parts of the country.
