Liebherr Appliances India, a refrigeration solutions company, has launched a new line of fully integrated refrigerators, freezers, and combination units manufactured at its Sambhajinagar facility in Maharashtra. The units are now available in India as ready stock.
India is currently the only country outside Europe where Liebherr manufactures fully integrated refrigeration units. The launch aligns with the company’s strategy to address growing demand for premium built-in appliances that complement modular kitchen designs and smart home trends. According to Liebherr, this segment is experiencing significant growth, particularly in metro and Tier-1 cities.
The appliances have been adapted for Indian climatic conditions with enhanced compressors, reinforced insulation, and optimized cooling systems. The company states that these features—part of its “tropicalisation” strategy—aim to ensure consistent performance and energy efficiency.
The launch event took place at Liebherr’s Experience Centre in Powai, Mumbai, and was attended by senior executives including Stéfanie Wohlfarth, Vice President of the Administrative Board of Liebherr Appliances; Steffen Nagel, Managing Director – Sales and Marketing, Appliance Division; Roman Schaefer, Head of Business Area India; and Kapil Agarwal, Managing Director – Sales, Liebherr Appliances India.
All products comply with the latest Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) norms and are backed by Liebherr’s service and distribution network across India. The launch is supported by a multi-channel marketing campaign encompassing print, electronic, digital, and retail channels.
