Burkert Fluid Control Systems India Private Limited has opened a new 50,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Talegaon MIDC, Pune, Maharashtra. This facility is designed to support Burkert’s global production network and meet rising demand for liquid and gas measurement and control systems in the region.
The facility has the capacity to produce over 30,000 valves and 500 systems annually. Initial production will focus on Mass Flow Controllers, Angle Seat Valves, and Diaphragm Valves. Future expansion is planned to accommodate a broader range of products tailored to Indian industries. The site is equipped with advanced machining centers, assembly lines, and testing capabilities to ensure efficient production.
Burkert’s investment in this facility is expected to enhance local employment opportunities and improve service delivery by bringing production closer to its customers. The company has completed technology transfer for specialized systems, such as Zone 1 ATEX-classified panels, and aims to make the facility profitable by 2028.
Globally, Burkert Fluid Control Systems has a turnover of approximately €710 million and employs over 3,700 people. The company continues to invest in research and development, dedicating 6.9% of its total revenue to innovation. In India, Burkert’s clients include notable companies such as Zydus, Alembic, Sun Pharma, Biocon, Bharat Biotech, and Serum Institute.
Georg Stawowy, CEO of Burkert Fluid Control Systems, emphasized that local manufacturing would enable the company to provide more customized solutions to Indian customers. Sadiq Khan, Managing Director of Burkert India, highlighted the importance of the facility in completing Burkert’s global value chain.
