GameChange BOS, a provider of electrification equipment, has inaugurated a medium voltage transformer manufacturing facility in Taloja, Maharashtra. The factory spans 180,000 square feet and has an initial production capacity of more than 1,800 transformers annually, with a total installed capacity of 5,400 MVA per year. The infrastructure has been designed to allow future expansion to 10,800 MVA.
The plant produces transformers in the range of 0.5 MVA to 25 MVA with voltage ratings of up to 69 kV. These products are targeted at sectors such as AI-driven data centres, renewable energy projects, battery energy storage systems, and large-scale electrification infrastructure.
According to the company, the facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing technology and testing processes to meet international standards. Located at ESR Taloja Industrial & Logistics Park near Mumbai, the site offers logistical advantages for both domestic and international shipping.
The company expects a significant portion of production to meet domestic demand while also catering to markets in Europe and the United States. It aims to address sectors including AI and cloud data centres, renewable energy installations, battery energy storage, commercial and industrial electrification, and utilities and transport power infrastructure.
