Virtuoso Optoelectronics Limited has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Virtuoso Compressors Private Limited, has commenced commercial production of reciprocatory compressors at a new facility in Nashik, Maharashtra. The plant has an annual production capacity of 2.8 million units, covering both fixed and variable speed models ranging from 3 cc to 15 cc.

The project was developed in technical collaboration with Huayi Compressor (Jingzhou) Co. Limited and Jiaxipera Compressor Co. Limited, with additional support from Shenzhen Eateron Company Limited. According to the company, the facility is designed to address part of the domestic compressor market, which is estimated at around 22 million units annually.

The Nashik facility was built with an investment of INR 450 million, funded through a combination of debt and equity, and was completed within six months. The compressors manufactured at the plant are intended for use in domestic and commercial refrigeration products, primarily targeting the Indian market. The company has scheduled the official launch of the product line for November 2025.

The plant was inaugurated in July and the event was attended by Ashish Kumar from the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT). Virtuoso stated that the initiative is expected to create opportunities in both business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-government (B2G) segments.

Virtuoso Optoelectronics Limited operates as an original equipment and design manufacturer (OEM/ODM) for consumer appliances, with end-to-end production capabilities across multiple product lines.
