ASO H&P India has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility in Sanaswadi, Pune, marking the company’s entry into the production of hydraulic cylinder bars in India. The project, developed with an investment of over €23 million, aims to support the growing demand for hydraulic components as infrastructure development expands in the country.

The facility, covering 30,000 square meters, was completed within nine months as part of an industrial park developed by Global Developers, Pune. The company installed and commissioned various equipment and machinery incorporating environmental protection technologies within four months.

Over 60 Indian suppliers, including MSMEs and multinational companies, were engaged in the project, with efforts to increase the share of indigenized components. Technical teams from ASO Italy and ASO Romania collaborated with ASO India to source local suppliers and ensure quality standards.

The facility requires 3.5 MW of uninterrupted power supply, and the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) completed a 29+ km express feeder cable to meet this demand. Additionally, the government’s MOOWR policy, which allows deferred duty payments on imported capital machinery, contributed to reducing the project’s financial outlay.

The project received support from local authorities, including the Sanaswadi village panchayat, and is the first to be established in Global Developers’ industrial park in the area.
