Technip Energies has expanded its presence in India with the opening of a new office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City) near Ahmedabad and a Research & Innovation Center at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) Research Park in Chennai.

The Ahmedabad office is the company’s fourth operating center in India. It is expected to employ approximately 300 people in 2025. Located in GIFT City, the office will support Technip Energies’ business activities by leveraging Gujarat’s infrastructure and workforce.

The Research & Innovation Center at IITM Research Park is Technip Energies’ fourth global research facility, complementing its existing centers in Europe and the United States. The center will focus on research and technology development in areas such as low-carbon energy derivatives, industrial decarbonization, and circular economy solutions.

According to a press release issued by Technip Energies, CEO Arnaud Pieton stated that the expansion aligns with the company’s global strategy and aims to leverage India’s engineering talent for energy technology advancements. Davendra Kumar, Managing Director of Technip Energies India, highlighted that the new facilities will contribute to the company’s operations in India.

Technip Energies has been active in India for over five decades, with offices in Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai, as well as a manufacturing unit in Dahej, Gujarat. The company employs 4,600 people in the country and continues to expand its operations to support both domestic and international projects.
