Godrej & Boyce’s tooling business, part of the Godrej Enterprises Group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Italian automation firm Bisiach & Carru to manufacture railway and aerospace equipment in India.
The collaboration will focus on increasing local manufacturing content over time and will supply automation solutions to Indian Railways, metro projects, and the aerospace sector. The agreement includes the production of robotic spot-welding systems, high-precision jigs and fixtures, specialized automation solutions, and assembly machinery.
Pankaj Abhyankar, Executive Vice President and Business Head of the tooling business, stated that the partnership aims to enhance cost efficiency, production quality, and technological innovation in critical industries.
According to the press release, the initiative aligns with India’s efforts to strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities in key infrastructure and industrial sectors.
