Hydreco, a manufacturer of hydraulic components, opened a new manufacturing facility in Bangalore, India, on May 4. The plant is intended to strengthen the company’s support for the domestic market and contribute to its internal supply chain operations across regions.
According to the company, the plant was developed under the direction of Ananth Bangalore Suryanarayana, Managing Director of Hydreco India, and is part of Hydreco’s global manufacturing operations led by Global Operations Director Marco Casarotto. The Bangalore site manufactures hydraulic gear pumps.
The facility is located in Nelamangala, Bangalore, and spans a covered area of 2,500 square metres. It includes expanded assembly lines, advanced machinery, and modern logistics infrastructure to support production for agriculture, construction, and industrial automation applications. It also houses 800 square metres of office space and will serve as a regional hub for production, training, and engineering support.
“Hydreco India is a cornerstone in our global strategy to better serve our customers, empower local expertise, and strengthen our capabilities across the APAC region,” stated Katie McColl, CEO of Hydreco, and Ananth Bangalore Suryanarayana.
“India plays a pivotal role in Hydreco’s long-term vision. This new facility not only boosts our production capabilities, but also allows us to localize engineering, improve lead times, and serve our customers with greater agility. The new site confirms our confidence in the technical capabilities, energy, and strategic relevance of the Indian industrial ecosystem, which we view as a key driver of Hydreco’s future growth,” stated McColl.
“We are proud to open this plant in the heart of Karnataka. It reflects our ambition to grow with our customers, invest in local capabilities, and deliver engineered solutions tailored to India and the wider APAC region,” stated Suryanarayana.
