ATI Motors, a developer of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) for industrial automation, unveiled its expanded portfolio at a recent Product Day event, alongside growth updates and global expansion plans. The company showcased seven robotic product variants and announced its entry into new international markets, including Mexico, while aiming to scale operations significantly in the coming year.

The Bengaluru-based company has doubled its customer base over the past year and added 15 Fortune 500 clients. Earlier this year, ATI Motors raised USD 20 million in a Series B funding round to support its product development and market expansion. The company has already deployed systems in Mexico, securing its first customer and conducting pilot projects.

“ATI Motors is on track for a million plus missions this year. This translates to about 400,000 kilometers. We are on track to deploying more than 200 robots,” said Dr. Naveen Arulselvan, Chief Technology Officer. He reported a mission success rate of over 95 percent, with many sites achieving close to 99 percent full autonomy.

ATI’s robots are designed for manufacturing environments and include models capable of narrow turns, high-speed operation, and integration with industrial software systems. Its AMRs are VDA 5050 compliant, enabling interoperability with fleet managers and systems from other vendors.

The company introduced several new machines at the event:

  • Sherpa 10K: A heavy-duty tugger capable of handling up to 5 tons.
  • Lifter 500: A compact and customizable lift unit for material handling.
  • Sherpa Mono Fork: A forked robot platform for pallet movement.
  • Sherpa Pallet Mover: Now supports payloads up to 1.5 tons.
  • Sherpa Mecha: A new research-stage AMR for precision tasks with a payload of 12 kg, equipped with 3D Lidar and camera systems. It has 19 degrees of freedom and is offered to research partners for USD 50,000, with shipments expected later this year. Future variants may support up to 35 kg payloads.

The company emphasized its move beyond material transport to integrating data and system connectivity. Its AMRs now support coordination with MES, ERP, and WMS platforms, enabling fully automated, zero-touch workflows in factory environments.

“Our existing customers are all using our robots 27 percent more than they were earlier,” said Saurabh Chandra, Founder and CEO of ATI Motors. He added, “We want things which can outperform the person, not just replace or mimic the person.”

ATI’s focus on performance and utility has led to increases in speed across its product line—from an initial 4 km/h to 7 km/h last year, and now up to 10 km/h. The company uses what it calls the “4S framework”—Space, Speed, Safety, and Sturdy—to describe the core value of its solutions.

ATI Motors’ products are ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified, with CE certification underway for several units. The event also featured discussions with leaders from Bosch, Schneider Electric, and the Indian Institute of Science, who addressed trends in automation and industrial robotics.

With the newly launched products and expanding global footprint, ATI Motors is positioning itself to serve a broader spectrum of manufacturing automation needs across high-throughput, safety-critical, and space-constrained environments.
