DCX Systems has signed a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Tamil Nadu to set up a defence manufacturing facility in Hosur. The announcement was made on 11 September 2025 during the Tamil Nadu Rising Investment Conclave in the presence of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin.
The facility will be established under a joint venture named ELTX, formed earlier in 2025 between DCX Systems and Israel’s ELTA Systems Ltd, a subsidiary of Israel Aerospace Industries. ELTA holds a 63 percent stake in the venture, while DCX holds 37 percent. The facility will focus on producing airborne maritime radar systems, fire control radar systems, and other radar solutions for airborne and land applications.
The planned investment in the Hosur facility is INR 850 crore, with an estimated employment potential for around 165 people. It will form part of Tamil Nadu’s defence industrial corridor and is located within the SIPCOT Advanced Manufacturing Park at Hosur.
According to the announcement, Tamil Nadu’s nodal agency Guidance will provide infrastructural and regulatory support, including permissions, registrations, approvals, clearances, and incentives in line with the Tamil Nadu Industrial Policy 2021 and the Aerospace and Defence Industrial Policy 2022.
DCX Systems is an Indian company engaged in manufacturing electronic subsystems and cable harnesses used in defence and aerospace applications. It supplies domestic and international customers and is involved in system integration and assembly for electronic warfare, radar, and other defence technologies.
