Craftsman Automation Limited has announced plans to set up a new manufacturing plant at SIPCOT Industrial Park, Shoolagiri, Hosur. The company’s board of directors approved the project during a meeting held on January 29, 2025, according to a statement issued by the company.

The proposed facility will focus on aluminium product manufacturing and is expected to increase the company’s aluminium product capacity by 15%. The current utilization rate for aluminium production stands at approximately 75%. The project is anticipated to be completed within nine to twelve months.

The estimated investment for the facility is Rs. 150 crore, with 90% of the funding sourced from term loans and the remaining amount from internal accruals.

According to the company, the decision to expand stems from the high demand for aluminium components in the region, particularly from two-wheeler and passenger car original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The new facility will be located within 100-150 kilometers of major OEMs, positioning the company to optimize production and supply chain efficiencies.
